At The Joy Reserve Event Rentals, we take pride in providing premium event décor and rental experiences that bring joy to every celebration. Because each booking requires time, materials, and planning to prepare for your event, our refund policy is designed to balance flexibility for our clients with fairness to our business.
Refund Policy - The Basics
Deposits & Payments
All deposits and retainers are non-refundable.
A deposit confirms your reservation and removes those items from available inventory for your event date. Once paid, deposits cannot be transferred or refunded for cancellations, reschedules, or no-shows.
Final balances are due by the date stated on your invoice. Failure to pay by that date may result in cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of all funds paid.
Cancellations

Cancellations made within 48 hours of booking: You may receive a 50% refund of any amount paid (excluding the non-refundable deposit), provided your event date is more than 30 days away.

Cancellations 30–14 days prior to the event: Eligible for a 25% refund of the total amount paid (excluding the deposit).

Cancellations less than 14 days prior to the event: No refunds will be issued.
If you wish to reschedule your event, your payment may be applied to a future date (subject to availability) if requested at least 14 days in advance.
Refund Eligibility
Refunds will only be issued in the following circumstances:

The Joy Reserve is unable to provide the reserved items or services due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

A replacement item or comparable substitution is unavailable.
Refunds, when applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
Damaged, Lost, or Missing Items
Clients are responsible for all items during the rental period.
No refunds will be given for items returned damaged, wet, soiled, or incomplete. Replacement fees will be billed for any missing or irreparably damaged items per the rental agreement.
Weather, Acts of God, and Unforeseen Events
We understand that weather or emergencies can occur. While refunds are not guaranteed for weather-related cancellations, we will make every reasonable effort to reschedule or apply a credit toward a future event within six months, subject to availability.
Custom & Specialty Orders
All custom-built, personalized, or specialty rental items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, regardless of the event date.
Policy Agreement
By submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this Refund Policy. This policy is subject to change at any time, and the most current version will always be posted on our website.
